Meet Emily: The Artist Behind the 2026 Teacher Planner Collection
Ever since I first began dreaming up the 2026 teacher planner collection, I knew I wanted the artwork to capture something special, something that felt vibrant, intentional and full of soul. When I came across Emily’s work, I instantly fell in love—her style, her energy, her eye for detail.
Emily is the incredibly talented artist behind this year’s collection and working with her has been nothing short of a dream. From the earliest sketches to the final designs, she completely understood the essence of what I wanted this collection to represent—a celebration of colour, creativity and calm, inspired by European summers. She brought that vision to life in the most thoughtful and beautiful way.
Creativity has been part of Emily’s world for as long as she can remember. From the moment she could hold a pencil or paintbrush, she was drawing and painting—always encouraged to explore her love of art. She started formal lessons at just eight years old, and that passion has followed her through school and into her creative career today. She believes that “art has the power to transform, uplift, and inspire”—a belief that really resonated with me. It’s something I also hope The Daily Planner can bring into teachers’ lives: a sense of calm, creativity, and inspiration through the everyday.
In a beautiful full-circle moment, Emily now runs her own art business creating stunning patterned designs, while also teaching after-school art classes—sharing the joy of creativity that’s shaped so much of her own journey.
Teaching also runs in Emily’s family. She comes from a long line of educators and is currently studying to become a high school art teacher. That made our collaboration feel even more special—this year’s designs were created by someone who not only understands the creative process but also deeply understands the classroom and the heart of teaching.
I feel incredibly lucky to have worked with Emily on this collection. Her artwork has added so much warmth, depth and wonder to each design and I truly hope it inspires you in your own teaching journey—just as it’s inspired me.
