Behind the Scenes of the 2027 Teacher Planner Photoshoot

What does a newborn baby, a bed in the middle of a field and a teacher planner have in common?

Probably not much... unless you're creating the 2027 Teacher Planner Collection.

Long before a single photograph was taken, this entire photoshoot existed only in my imagination.

The vision actually began last year when I was just two weeks postpartum. During those sleepless nights, midnight feeds and early mornings with my newborn son, I found myself dreaming about what the 2027 collection could become.

One idea kept returning to me over and over again:

'A beautifully styled bed sitting in the middle of a field, surrounded by our planners.'

Random? Absolutely.

But every time I pictured it, I fell in love with the idea a little more. It felt calm, peaceful and exactly how I wanted teachers to feel when they opened their planner each day in 2027.

Bringing the vision to life

Fast forward several months, and that little idea became reality.

Standing in a field in the Sunshine Coast hinterland, watching the set come together and seeing the planners through Nicola's lens was one of those rare pinch-me moments where reality somehow exceeded the vision I'd been carrying around in my head for months.

Teachers Supporting Teachers

One of the things I'm most proud of is that every single person involved in creating the 2027 collection is a teacher.

Our artist is a teacher.

Our photographer, Nicola, is a teacher.

Our model is a teacher.

And of course, I'm a teacher too.

From the very beginning, The Daily Planner has been built on one simple belief: Teachers Supporting Teachers. Because we believe the best teacher planners are created by people who truly understand the classroom.

Every page, every brushstroke and every photograph has been created with teachers at the heart of every decision.

Our 2027 planner cover reveals begin on Monday, 13 July, with pre-orders opening on Thursday, 23 July.

I truly believe this is our most magical collection yet, and I'm so excited for you to see all the love that's gone into every little detail.
